SAMSUNG MOBILE PHONES TO SUPPORT TELEMAC-ENABLED(tm) SIMs

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - March 24, 2003 - Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. and Telemac Corporation, the leader in network-edge real-time accounting and billing technologies for the wireless industry, have entered into a licensing agreement under which Samsung will extend the performance of the SIM Application Toolkit in selected Samsung wireless devices to interoperate with a Telemac-enabled(tm) SIM.

Samsung wireless devices incorporating Telemac-enabled(tm) SIMs will fully support Telemac CostControl(tm) technology. Telemac CostControl(tm) technology substantially reduces a wireless operator’s cost of offering both prepaid and post-paid spending limits programs by eliminating most infrastructure elements and by reducing non-revenue generating network traffic associated with requests for updated billing information.

Kenin M. Spivak, chairman and CEO of Telemac Corporation, said: “We are extremely pleased to be associated with Samsung and its innovative market-leading practices. Samsung’s trend-setting mobile phones equipped with Telemac’s state-of-the-art billing solutions will provide wireless operators worldwide with significant advantages such as seamless national and international roaming, and inexpensive scalability.”

Samsung is currently third among handset manufacturers in world market share and is the third-largest handset manufacturer in the United States.

Telemac has licensed Telemac CostControl(tm) technology to wireless operators on six continents. Nearly 15,000,000 Telemac-enabled™ mobile phones have been sold worldwide.
